African Violet Slings Review

I was lucky enough to receive a Snugli carrier at my baby shower and we did get to use it a lot. I love going for long walks and baby sometimes falls asleep in the carrier. But when my baby started growing bigger and heavier our walks started getting shorter and shorter or she’d be staying in her stroller longer because the straps were starting to dig into my shoulders and my back would hurt.

I started looking around for another carrier that would help baby and me. I became interested in getting a sling because I was seeing more and more moms using it. The African Violet Slings are hand-made, with a wide strap and a long tail. It’s really comfortable. The wide strap means I no longer have any pain in my shoulders and back when I carry the baby. The sling can be worn on either left or right shoulder. And the long tail means it’s one size fits all. Both my mom and dad have used it to carry the baby and we’re all different heights.

When I got my sling, it took a while before I got the hang of carrying baby in it. The African Violet Slings website has step by step instructions and photos that helped me get used to using the sling. There are five ways to use the sling but I’ve only done 3, the Upright carry, the Cradle carry and the Hip carry. I am sure my baby would say she loved the sling too if she could talk. I’ve forgotten how many times she’d fallen asleep in the sling while I was walking or doing chores at home.
