I have been thinking of offering up advertising space on my blog for a while now. For those that do, how did you decide when to start and how did you determine what rates you would charge?
I tried searching for sites that connects advertisers with bloggers. One site that I found was Blogvertise. After you register you site and have been approved, you will then be emailed tasks/new assignments to write about in your blog. You do not have to endorse the website’s products or services, just mention it, discuss it, or relate to it somehow in your blog entry. They will then review your post, and if approved, you will receive payment in 30 days via paypal.
